MCR 3U Homework

• Assigned problems from textbook, handouts as well as recommended examples to review will be provided on each unit outline sheet. Changes and additions will be given in class or on the website
• It is expected that an attempt be made to do all questions on a regular basis
• Homework will be checked once/per unit – on a rotating basis – be ready to submit what you’ve completed
• Be ready to ask questions in class OR make arrangements during MSIP
• Homework questions may be on quizzes – open notebook allowed in some cases. You’ll want to be ready!
• All homework checks will be completed before the review/test
• NOTE: Although homework checks may decrease in frequency after midterm, keep doing it! and keep asking questions!
• Presentation:
• Include page and question numbers
• Copy questions (not entire word problems but key info, equations, sketches, etc)
• Leave space to solve problems – don’t try to cram it all into one page
• Be sure its readable
• Checking & Assistance:
• Show that you’ve checked your work. Use the answer section in the back of the textbook and check off questions that are correct.
• Write HELP in the margin when you want to ask for extra assistance. You may do this outside class time or if absolutely necessary, wait for homework check.

Late checks are accepted as long as the unit test is not complete and are subject to a one check penalty
